Financial Hardship and 66% Disability Could Not Stop Pooja Singh’s Determination; NEET-2026 Qualifier Now on the Path to Becoming a Doctor
Ambikapur/Sitapur: Despite financial hardship and 66 percent disability, Pooja Singh, a daughter of Surguja, has set an inspiring example of determination and perseverance. A resident of Radhapur village in Sitapur development block, Pooja has qualified NEET-2026 and secured admission to Medical College, Jagdalpur, bringing her dream of becoming a doctor closer to reality.
Pooja completed her primary and school education at a government school. Due to her family’s weak financial condition, it was not possible for her to move to a big city and pursue expensive coaching. Despite these challenges, she did not give up and prepared continuously for NEET from home for four years. Even with 66 percent disability, Pooja achieved success in the examination through her hard work, confidence and determination.
Pooja’s mother works as a daily-wage labourer to support the family. Despite limited financial resources, she continued working hard to ensure that her daughter’s education did not stop. With government assistance now available, financial difficulties will no longer stand in the way of Pooja’s medical education.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Collector Ajit Vasant has sanctioned financial assistance of ₹2.50 lakh from the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) fund for Pooja’s medical education. The assistance will provide financial support to her during her studies at the medical college.
Pooja’s success reflects the combined impact of her mother’s hard work, her own determination and the support extended by the government and administration. Despite financial difficulties and physical challenges, she has demonstrated that with strong determination, consistent hard work and timely support, even the most difficult goals can be achieved.
Pooja’s achievement is also an inspiration for students across the region. She will now pursue her medical studies at Medical College, Jagdalpur, moving steadily towards fulfilling her dream of becoming a doctor.
